I am highly amused by my namesake online!
First, my favorite namesake, Kent Gustavson, is a fellow with similar physique to me!:
Second, another academic like me, Kent Gustavson BSc, MSc, PhD (for now he has more credentials than I do, but wait!!!:)
His big article is all over the web: Integrated Coastal Zone Management of Coral Reefs: Decision Support Modeling!… The funny thing is that he really could be a member of my family, though he’s not — my sibling and her husband are both geologists, specializing in hydro-geology… And my father is a physician with huge interest in environmental issues and legislation!…
3) Michael Gustavson comes up after (vanity googling) Gustavson: He’s an extraordinary sculpturist and artist. Check out his website at gustavsonstudios.com
Here’s a picture of him working in his studio:
4) Check out the Ambigrams at Stefan Gustavson’s Site:

Then, to prove my point, here is a list of a whole bunch of the highest ranked ‘Gustavson’s’ in my vanity Gustavson google search:
Mark Gustavson, Composer:

Adam Gustavson, Amazing Children’s Book Illustrator:

Karl Gustavson, Architect:

Paul Gustavson, Comic Book Illustrator:

Don Gustavson, Politician:

Åke Gustavson, Professor and Researcher:

Well, among these are a few realtors and consultants, etc., but surprisingly, no sketch-balls, porn-kings or anything else undesirable! I guess I inherited a nice name…
Funny thing is, my folks called me ‘Kent’ because they thought it sounded nice. But I’m pretty sure they’re attached to that name, too, because, when I was called ‘Rusty’ in college (in a comparison with Rusty Griswald of the National Lampoon movies), my folks couldn’t stand it!:)
And, good luck that I am called Gustavson — my great-great grandfather, when he came over from Sweden, was named Persson, as were his parents and relatives. That year, in New York, there were too many immigrants named Persson. They refused to let him in with that name! So, because his father’s name was Gustav, he gave them the name Gustavson (Americanized from the Swedish Gustavsson, of course!)…
Now, I’m out of the closet — I’m a vanity googler. But who isn’t!?
