That is the most amusing part of spring — when all the snow melts, and the roads suddenly all look like remote village roads of mounded dirt with little potholes, cracks and valleys… But I shouldn’t start to think about spring.
I feel strange that all I seem to write about is politics — there are so many other topics I would like to simply rant about and make available to any eye — but reading the NY Times in the morning just freshens all my political rants every day…
It is a beautiful time, a wonderful year — I am happy with the way things are… Lots of work and lots of investments on my part, but I’m hoping and praying that it will all lead to a ‘career’ path…
I miss the times when I would just sit out on the porch and play banjo in 20 feet of snow up in the mountains — the drifts dulling the sound of my playing — folks wandering past… We had so much snow for so many months that we all got incredibly tired of it — we didn’t touch solid ground for long stretches of time — only in buildings…
The thing is — the more snow we get, the colder it gets, the more chilled nights we have to pull the blanket up around our noses — the better spring feels — and the hotter the summer, the better autumn feels –
Stay warm.
